Aldi's Lazzio coffee range wins top Canstar award
Not only does Aldi's wine keep taking out awards, but now the popular supermarket's coffee has won another top prize.
Aldi's Lazzio coffee range has taken out the top spot for Best Coffee beans in Canstar's 'Most Satisfied Customer Awards'.
The German retailer's best-in-show beans — which start at just $4.29 for 250g — beat out big name brands including Lavazza, Vittoria and Grinders across the taste, texture and value for money categories.
Produced by Melbourne-based Black Bag Roasters, who have been an Aldi partner since 2014, the Lazzio range has become increasingly popular with shoppers, allowing the retailers to increase support to the local business.
"Roasted in Melbourne, we developed the Lazzio Coffee range to bring customers a café experience at home," Varun Raheja, Coffee Buying Director at ALDI Australia said.
"Our aim is to always exceed our customers’ expectations, so Aussie coffee drinkers can be sure that their morning brew from ALDI is the best quality at the lowest price possible. There’s nothing like starting your day with a perfect cup of coffee and the satisfying feeling of savings in the back pocket!”
