Aldi Australia's latest Special Buy to arrive in stores is set to rival retailer Kmart and shoppers can't wait for it to hit shelves.
The Multi Snack Maker Special Buy which will be available on September 1, is a five-in-one cooking press that comes with interchangeable plates.
The popular cooking appliance is already available at Kmart, but there are some key differences between the offerings from both of the budget retailers.

So what's the difference?
While the Kmart Multi-Snack Maker is cheaper, retailing for $35, it doesn't have as many features as the $39.99 Aldi version.
The Kmart version comes with just four interchangeable plates for waffles, donuts, pancakes and panini.
But the Aldi version has an extra feature. It too can be used as a waffle and donut maker, but it can also be used as a sandwich press and to make Russian nut cookies.
Both feature non-stick booking plates and are thermostatically controlled.
While there's a $5 price difference, the handy kitchen gadget from Aldi has proved to be extremely popular.
It's sold out before
The product was so popular when it was released it last year, it flew off shelves almost immediately.
"I’m not one who usually runs to Aldi for their specials. I usually go on a Friday so whatever’s left I’ll have a look at but I want that multi snack maker! Feel like everyone is going to want that though like the air fryer," one person said at the time.
"I’m happy to stand in line for the snack maker," added another.
"Gee I hope they stock up big on the snack maker," added a third.
Most of the shoppers lucky enough to get their hands on one the last time it went on sale were impressed with how well it worked.
"Well, I tried the Multi Snack Maker out this morning, got the thumbs up here," one happy shopper wrote.
"I have never made waffles before and tried out the strawberry recipe in the booklet. Omg these are yummo it’s a winner for me."
"I'm surprised there isn't a Multi Snack Maker Support Page yet. Or at least a recipe page lol," added another.
"I have seen some negative reviews of the snack maker last night which made me a bit worried about mine. Luckily, it works well. I made some waffles for afternoon tea for my kids today and now my hubby is making the oreshki with custard filling. They are so yummy," commented a third.
Aldi has made improvements
While most were impressed with Aldi's multi-snack maker, a handful of others said they had experienced issues with the clip mechanism melting.
"Got myself the Multi Snack Maker. Anyone else has the tags that hold the plates in place melt, and now they don’t stay in place," one person asked on the Aldi Mums Facebook page the last time the item was on sale.
"Well, I'm disappointed. All I did was heat it up and the clip has melted apart," added another.
The version set to go on sale on September 1 now features an improved clip mechanism as well as an improved push button to release plates.
