Al Roker isn't afraid to share his opinions about most things on the Today show — and he let his true feelings show once again for quite a hilarious reason.
Ahead of Valentine's Day, the NBC morning series decided to share a report on January 29 about what songs to add to a romantic playlist. Naturally, Al was involved in the discussion, sitting alongside Jenna Bush Hager, Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin and Carson Daly for the segment. When Carson brought up how people love listening to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers' 1983 hit single "Islands in the Stream," Jenna and Savannah immediately broke out in an impromptu duet on the air.
Since Al was sitting right between the two, he got roped into the karaoke moment as Jenna and Savannah performed to him while giving him a hug. What's more, he had a hilarious unfiltered reaction to being caught in the middle of a serenade on live television.
"Please, please!" Al jokingly screamed in a clip posted on Instagram. "Make it stop! MAKE IT STOP!"
Given how Al didn't hold back his feelings on Today, seeing his bold reaction had people cracking up in the comments.
"Uncle Al is over everyone 😂," one person wrote in the comments. "CANNOT get enough of this crew 🔥," another exclaimed. "That made me laugh ♥️😂," a different follower added.
Well, this is definitely one unexpected moment from our favorite journalist! And the best part is, this isn't the only time folks have watched him go off the cuff when his co-stars surprise him on TV.
Folks may remember how in February 2024, he made an impassioned plea for New York City schools to allow kids to have a day off instead of remote learning when heavy snowfall occurs. He also had strong opinions about how people should shower multiple times a week back in July 2023.
After this, we can't wait to see what opinions Al reveals next!
