'Stunning' Kmart hack transforms homewares for just $12

A Kmart fan has shared her seriously easy hack to transform her simple white plant pot into something a bit more special.

The Facebook user took to the social media site and shared how was able to transform her $15 plant pot by using a $3 mandala stencil, $3 stencil tool kit and metallic paint.

"Been loving these pot and acacia stands for like forever. So I finally bought one," she wrote.

"The white pot is simple and effective but wanted something a little more. So I found this mandala stencil and stencil tool kit from Kmart bought some metallic paint. So happy with the end result."

She then added that she purchased the paint separately for $6 from Prices Plus.

The woman also revealed in the comments that she used masking tape to keep the stencil in place while she painted over them.

People were quick to comment on the post, with many saying they would be attempting the hack themselves.

One user wrote, "Perfect... best hack I've seen in ages."

Another added, "Stunning!" Someone else wrote, "Love it!! Going to steal that look."

"Very clever," another agreed, while someone else added, "Gorgeous, I'm off to Kmart."

Others commented that they'd found their next project with one user even revealing that she had used the stencil to change the look of her bedside table.

Kmart fans have been increasingly turning to stencils to transform furniture into something more unique – like this table that was completely transformed for less than $3.
