15 Subtle Details And Easter Eggs In The "Wicked" Cast's Press Looks That Sent Me All The Way Over The Rainbow

I'd assume most of the world has been counting the days until Part 1 of the long-awaited film adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical Wicked hits theaters on Nov. 22.

The movie's press tour recently kicked off, including three red carpet premieres in Australia, Los Angeles, and Mexico City. So many fun minor details were seen on the red carpet among the cast. Here are some of them:

1.Ariana Grande, who plays Glinda the Good Witch in the movie, has dressed in her character's signature color, pink, at all three premieres so far.

2.Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba the Wicked Witch, paid homage to her character at the premieres by wearing either black or emerald green.

3.At the Los Angeles premiere, Ariana wore a custom Thom Browne pink-and-white gingham dress with a bolero jacket. The gingham print on Ariana's dress is a nod to Judy Garland as Dorothy in the original 1939 Wizard of Oz, who wore a blue and white gingham dress.

4.At the Los Angeles premiere, Jonathan Bailey wore a red poppy on his shirt and matching ruby red loafers, honoring the original film in two ways. He matched Dorothy's ruby red slippers, and her crew ran into trouble while crossing a field of poppies. His Tin Man-like silver shirt also was a nod.

5.At the Los Angeles premiere, Michelle Yeoh sported short blonde locks, a nod to her Wicked character, Madame Morrible's icy blonde hair.

6.At the Los Angeles premiere, Cynthia wore a stunning emerald necklace in honor of the Emerald City, of course.

7.Ariana's makeup at the Los Angeles premiere was inspired by Glinda.

8.Ariana also paid tribute to Dorothy's red slippers by wearing her own version that were covered in 4,000 Swarovski crystals.

In the original Wonderful Wizard of Oz book by L. Frank Baum, the slippers are actually silver, just like Ari's shoes here. Dorothy's slippers ended up being red in the 1939 movie to make the color pop more.

9.Jeff Goldblum, who plays the Wonderful Wizard of Oz in the movie, sported emerald green nails.

10.The carpet at the Australia premiere was yellow — a playful nod to the "yellow brick road."
