Yahoo Lifestyle Hailey Bieber's Valentine's Day outfit is a cherry gateau delight
We've all had those moments, standing in front of our closet, staring at a vast collection of clothes yet thinking: "I have nothing to wear." The clothes are there, but the inspiration to pull a look together is not. In these moments, I'm particularly jealous of Cher Horowitz's well-ahead-of-its-time outfit selector from Clueless.
Now, however, I might take a leaf out of Hailey Bieber's fashion book. Heading to Instagram after Valentine's Day to give us an insight into how she celebrated le jour du love, the model appears to reveal her date night outfit was inspired by a slice of cherry gateau. How innovative.
Hailey wears a cosy, knitted red co-ord (see: short shorts and a button-up cardigan) layered over a ribbed white vest and pulled together with an oversized feather and fur coat in a sumptuous shade of chocolate. In the next slide of the carousel, the 'fit perfectly complements the slice of chocolate cherry gateau Hailey's treating herself to and, while she doesn't explicitly tell fans that the look is a copy of her cake, you have to admit, the parallels between the two are uncanny.
"Oh to be Hailey Bieber..." someone said in the comments section of the post, which has already racked up over 1.6 million likes. "Stunning," another fan wrote, with a third adding: "ICONIC."
So, next time we're stuck on what to wear for the day, we'll be popping down to peruse the pastries and cakes at Gail's to get some outfit inspiration. And a sweet treat, of course.
