Yahoo Lifestyle ‘White Lotus’ Season 4 Location Scouting Currently Underway at 2 Different Four Seasons Resorts: Source (Exclusive)
Location scouting for Season 4 of The White Lotus is currently underway, with two destinations being considered for the next installment of the Emmy-winning series.
"Right now, it's looking like the next season of The White Lotus will be shot in Egypt or Mexico," a source exclusively shared with Parade. "They want to pick somewhere they haven't shot yet, so a new continent. They want to go somewhere completely new since this season is in Asia, which is why they're between the two. The decision should be made soon."
According to the source, the production team has a specific Four Seasons resort in mind for each location.
Though HBO hasn't released any official details on a fourth season of The White Lotus, Variety reported that a fourth season has been greenlit, and creator Mike White has already pitched ideas to HBO CEO Casey Bloys.
Parade reached out to HBO for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
Season 3 of the series, which is set to premiere later this month, was filmed at multiple locations in Thailand. The second season was shot in Sicily, Italy, while Season 1 of The White Lotus was filmed in Maui, Hawaii. All three seasons were filmed at Four Seasons hotels.
The show, which features an almost entirely new cast each season, follows a group of guests and employees at a fictional White Lotus resort as chaos and drama unfolds. Only two cast members have appeared in multiple seasons: Jennifer Coolidge starred in Seasons 1 and 2, while Season 1 star Natasha Rothwell is set to reprise her role as Belinda Lindsey in Season 3.
The White Lotus first premiered in 2021 and has since won countless awards, including multiple Critics Choice Television Awards, Emmy Awards and Golden Globes.
Season 3 premieres on HBO and Max on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 9 p.m. ET.
