Vin Diesel Appears to Address Tense Golden Globes Moment With The Rock
Vin Diesel seems to have dispelled doubts about any lingering tension between him and his Fast and Furious co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson following their brief interaction at the 2025 Golden Globes.
Diesel declared “All love always” in an Instagram post that showed him holding a thumbs up next to a smiling The Rock.
When Diesel came out onstage to present an award at the Golden Globes on Sunday, he gave The Rock a quick shoutout.
“Hey Dwayne,” he said as he broke into a smile. The camera panned to The Rock smiling back at Diesel from his table.
Rumors of a feud between the two actors first began to swirl in 2016, when they were shooting The Fate of the Furious, the eighth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise.
“Tension has been building up for months,” a source told People magazine at the time. “Vin has been having problems with The Rock because The Rock keeps showing up late for production. Sometimes he doesn’t show up at all and he’s delaying the production.”
The Rock was the first to make hints about tensions on set in a now-deleted Instagram post showing love to his female co-stars, but throwing shade at his male cast mates.
“There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one,” he wrote. “My female costars are always amazing and I love ‘em. My male costars, however, are a different story.”
The actor said some of his fellow male cast members “conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t,” adding that “the ones that don’t are too chicken s--- to do anything about it anyway. Candy a--es.”
That all seems to be in the past, though. In an X post announcing his return to the Fast and Furious franchise in 2023, The Rock said “Vin and I put all the past behind us. We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve - and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love.”
Diesel’s Instagram post after the Golden Globes was met with cheers. Rapper and actor Ludacris even honored his two co-stars in a comment showing two crowns and two salutes.
Diesel and The Rock are set to reunite in the second chapter of Fast X, the franchise’s tenth movie, coming out next year.
