“Vanderpump Rules” lives on after Scandoval but with a new group of 'SUR-vers' — main stars react
Now-former main cast members Lala Kent and Katie Maloney react to the news.
There's one question on the minds of Bravoholics this morning: How are Lala Kent and Scheana Shay going to react?!
React to what? The fact that, on Tuesday morning, Bravo announced Vanderpump Rules will live to get another season after Scandoval, but not with the main cast who's been there for 11 seasons. Given how vocal Kent especially was in that particularly dramatic season 11 reunion where she accused a jilted Ariana Madix of messing with her coin by refusing to film with confirmed cheater and master gaslighter Tom Sandoval, an Insta-post seemed inevitable.
Kent posted a statement on Instagram shortly after Bravo made the announcement. "I have such mixed feelings right now," she wrote, in part. "It’s no secret I do not like change. This is the exception. I want to say thank you for rocking with us for so many years. This show changed my whole life. I’m unbelievably grateful for every moment. I’m unbelievably grateful for Bravo, for NBCU, for our crew, the entire cast, and most importantly all of you. We rocked this bitch until the wheels fell off."

Madix also addressed the soft relaunch of Vanderpump Rules. In a thoughtful and lengthy statement, she confirmed, "I'm feeling at peace with closing this chapter and I'm excited for everything that is to come. I don’t know that these were the best days of our lives, but they were definitely something special."
The reality star made her boundaries about filming with Sandoval blatantly clear, but she did thank "every single crew member, producer, and our showrunners."
"Seeing you guys every summer was like coming home to see family!" she wrote. "That I will miss very much but you have my number so…just text me." See her full statement below.
Madix's bestie Katie Maloney wrote in a statement on her Instagram Stories, "It's a mixed bag. But I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for the memories and the love the last 11 years."
Restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump will, of course, return for Vanderpump Rules season 12, but the focus will be on "a new group of close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors," according to a Bravo press release. "Under Lisa Vanderpump’s watchful eye, the West Hollywood mainstay SUR — and now TomTom — welcomes the next batch of servers, hosts and bartenders rife with plenty of drama, situationships, and frenemies."

Season 12 filming will begin next year, while a premiere date and the new cast will be announced at an undisclosed later date.

"The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears, and everything in between,” Vanderpump said in a statement. "I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules."
The development comes shortly after Schwartz & Sandy's, Sandoval's cocktail lounge and restaurant he launched with friend Tom Schwartz while on the show, announced its closure, which will happen at the end of December. Sandoval, however, continues to fail upward. Entertainment Weekly revealed his new cast portrait as part of the crew for Traitors season 3.
For everyone else — including Kristen Doute, who revealed her baby-bump photos — we guess there's always The Valley.
