Travis Kelce Trolls Brother Jason While Sampling New Orleans Cuisine: 'Who Eats Like That?'
Travis and Jason Kelce are trying out the local cuisine in New Orleans!
During the latest episode of the the brothers' New Heights podcast, filmed in person together ahead of Super Bowl LIX, Travis and Jason sampled some of the New Orleans' most renowned food staples, including crawfish, beignets, king cake, gumbo and more.
And of course, the taste-testing session wasn't without its fair share of brotherly banter.
At one point in the episode, while Jason, 37, tried some chicken and sausage gumbo, Travis, 35, physically cringed at the sounds coming out of his brother's mouth.
"The way you ate that was disgusting," said a visibly grossed-out Travis after Jason slurped some gumbo off the spoon, calling it "so good."
"That sound," Travis continued, still bothered by Jason's mouth sounds. "What the f—k was that like slurp."
"Who eats like that!" Travis added, while bending his neck and physically cringing, even though Jason insisted the slurping was an intentional move to help him from spilling anything on his white T-shirt.
"It's delicious," the former Eagles player declared.
Later in the episode, the brothers also tested out New Orleans beignets, a classic funnel cake-style dessert covered in powdered sugar.
"I will eat all of those," Travis said. "This is my kind of s--t right here."
He then held the rest of the beignet in front of his face, telling himself, "One more week, Travis," presumably inferring that his football diet will soon loosen up once he's off for the season.
But Jason, who retired after last season, dug right in, noting that the powdered sugar was getting stuck in his beard.
"You already have white in your beard," Travis quipped.
On Sunday, Feb. 9, Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs will go head-to-head with the Philadelphia Eagles in the hopes of securing a three-peat victory in Super Bowl LIX.
