Yahoo Lifestyle Travis Kelce Marries ’70s Excess With LA Glamour in Amiri Disco Suit for Super Bowl 2025 Pregame Outfit
Travis Kelce made an unforgettable entrance at the Super Bowl LIX. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end wore an arrival outfit that consisted of ’70s glam redux.
The star athlete, and boyfriend of Taylor Swift, touched down at the Caesars Superdome locker room in New Orleans while wearing a disco suit plucked from the runway of Amiri. Kelce wore a look from the label’s fall 2025 collection: a double-breasted and flared set in burnt orange paired with a gold rose brooch and a sparkling plunging button-up shirt with an oversized lapel.

Kelce completed his kook with Amiri’s two-tone black and white loafers accented with a gold chain at the bridge, a leather duffle bag, a pair of yellow-tinted aviator sunglasses, and a gold chain.
Kelce’s look is not only an ode to ’70s fashion, it’s also a tribute to ’70s Los Angeles, specifically — as designer Mike Amiri explained at the runway show late last month. “I love people to really feel things on the runway, and I thought it’d be great to make it a bit more immersive, and really give you that feeling of Hollywood, late ‘60s, early ‘70s, and bits of that glamour and bits of that moonlight also,” Amiri told WWD.
Swift also channeled the same decade at a Kansas City Chiefs game back in late December. The music star attended the team’s game against the Houston Texans while wearing a Penny Lane fur-trimmed coat in red by Charlotte Simone, and pairing it with thigh-high suede boots, a black vintage Chanel bucket hat, and a red handbag bag from Tod’s.
Kelce has been embracing runway looks and custom outfits from high-end designers in recent years, including the Thom Browne suit that was made just for him last month. At the end of January Kelce suited up in a custom Thom Browne look consisting of the designer’s signature stripes across a grey beanie, camel blazer, matching tie, and matching trousers. Kelce finished the look with a pair of Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro design sneakers.
Last night Kelce stepped out in a twill set from a collaboration between Dior and ceramicist Hylton Nel. Kelce wore a zip-up jacket and matching pants with a pair of Nike Jordan 3 Retro OG “Black Cement” sneakers.
