Tommy Lee Shares Scathing Reaction to Artists Promoting Amid LA Wildfires: ‘Makes Me Sick’

Tommy Lee, a musician most known as a founding member of the metal band Mötley Crüe, shared a frank message about artists who continue to promote upcoming projects despite the ongoing crisis in California with the wildfires.

The drummer took to Instagram on Jan. 13 to share a short yet sharp message, posting a small paragraph addressing artists on social media.

"Makes me f--king sick to see most people just [carrying] on posting on lame a-- social media!" he began. "Guys right now nobody gives a flying f--k when your record drops or the next concert is when so many people are in the middle of one of the biggest disasters of all time!"

Lee concluded, "I get that some comic relief is always [needed] but Jesus Christ leave it all alone and maybe just stop and see who needs help if you can."

The 62-year-old didn't allow comments on the post. He also didn't share any specific people in the message.

However, a few singers have continued sharing about their new projects on social media, including Bad Bunny and FKA Twigs, who have new albums released this month.

The Weeknd is another artist with an album coming out soon, although he announced on Jan. 13 that he would be canceling a concert at the Rose Bowl scheduled for Jan. 25 and was postponing the release of his new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, until Jan. 31.
