What better way for Al Roker to pick up a few dance moves than by grooving with one of the greats?
The Today show host recently celebrated Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke turning 99 years old the best way he knew how — by posting a throwback Instagram video to the time he interviewed the actor at age 90 back in 2016.
In the clip (which at the time was part of Al's "Living Legends" series), viewers saw Al and Dick hanging out in what appeared to be the latter's backyard. As Al asked the Mary Poppins alum to teach him a few dance moves, it prompted the two to come up with a choreographed routine that was equally impressive for them both. Getting nostalgic about the heartfelt moment he had with Dick, Al found a sweet way to mark Dick's momentous occasion.
"One of my best moments doing this job," he wrote alongside the snippet on December 13 (Dick's birthday). "Getting to watch, #songanddance man and consummate performer, @official_dick_van_dyke dance."
When fans saw Al taking a trip down memory lane with The Dick Van Dyke Show star, they were absolutely dazzled by Dick's incredible dance skills.
"He still got it. Love seeing this. 💕," one person wrote. "For him to move like that at 99!!! That’s amazing! Keep going sir!" another declared. "A national treasure. One of the most charming and funnies people to ever live. 99!!! 😍," a different follower added.
We can all agree that no matter what age Dick is, his dance skills are definitely enviable! What's more, folks got to see him display his incredible talent in early December, when he starred alongside his family in Coldplay's music video for their single "ALL MY LOVE."
Dick also had the chance to display his dance moves back in September. When his variety special Dick Van Dyke: 98 Years of Magic won the Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Special, he busted a move while speaking to reporters in the press room, per People.
We love to see it!
