Timothée Chalamet Garners Attention With New Hairstyle

Timothée Chalamet, who is riding high on the success of his Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, decided to switch things up with a new hairstyle.

The 29-year-old was spotted at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Feb. 11—where he received the Arlington Artist of the Year Award—with a short new haircut with edgy bangs at the front.

Chalamet's new look was a noticeable change from the style he has been rocking lately, with the actor appearing to emulate Dylan while promoting his latest film with a longer, wavier hairstyle.

To complete the surprising style, Chalamet wore a bright green patterned button-up shirt and jeans to the event. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Kylie Jenner was spotted inside the event wearing a sultry black dress.

After receiving the award, Chalamet spoke a little about his opinion of Dylan after portraying him on screen, saying, via People, "I admire Bob Dylan [and] these great lyricists [and] artists that generate the work. Maybe one day I'll generate the work. Maybe one day I'll write something great."

Chalamet still has the Oscars ahead of him, with a nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for A Complete Unknown, and his next film, Marty Supreme, is set to come out at the end of the year. The movie is another biopic, with Chalamet playing professional ping pong player Marty Reisman, who passed away in 2012.

Chalamet's hair transformation may be for an upcoming role, but considering the only project he's currently attached to, Dune: Messiah, isn't set to start filming anytime soon, this doesn't seem likely.
