Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson's “E.T.”-Style Alien Sendoff Goes Hilariously Wrong in Totino’s Super Bowl 2025 Commercial
The two comedians previously starred in the television shows 'Detroiters' and 'I Think You Should Leave'
Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson are out of this world!
The two actors have teamed up with Totino's for a hilarious Super Bowl ad called "Chazmo Finally Goes Home," which sees an E.T.-style alien sendoff go hilariously wrong.
Robinson, 43, and Richardson, 41, previously starred in the television show Detroiters. Richardson also plays several characters in Robinson’s sketch show I Think You Should Leave.
Released on Wednesday, Feb. 5, the commercial begins with Robinson and Richardson emotionally saying goodbye to the titular alien, who is embarking on a UFO with a bag of Totino's Pizza Rolls in hand.
"Thank you for sharing your Totino pizza rolls," the alien says, and Robinson tearfully replies, "No problem."
A teen standing next to the comedians also waves, and says, "We’ll miss you, Chazmo."
Chazmo, who has a short oblong body covered in fur, shares that he will miss her too as he slowly waves. Still clutching on to the delicious frozen treat, he adds, "They’re the most snackable pizza in the uni-" before the doors to the UFO quickly shut and crushes his neck.
After the darkly comedic twist, the alien’s body shakes as he sticks his tongue out and his eyes protrude out of their sockets. Robinson and Richardson cringe while the three teens scream in horror.
"Unfortunately, that’s just a part of life," Robinson explains, as Richardson adds, "Rest in peace, Chazmo" in an exaggerated voice.
The Ted Lasso star pops a pizza roll in his mouth as Robinson says, "We didn’t know him as well as you, so it’s not as sad for us." Richardson adds, “Not that we didn’t want to,” to which the SNL alum explains, "He just didn’t open up around us."
The commercial was written by I Think You Should Leave and Detroiters co-creator Zach Kanin, and directed by Alice Mathias, who also worked on the Netflix sketch show. According to a press release, the ad marks the first-ever Super Bowl ad for frozen pizza.
As usual, this year’s Big Game commercials are filled with celebrity appearances. Matthew McConaughey, Charli xcx and Martha Stewart appeared in a series of ads for Uber Eats, while Shania Twain played a singing tongue for Coffee-Mate and Vin Diesel uncharacteristically slowed down for Häagen-Dazs.

In January, General Mills and Totino's announced that they were releasing a limited edition pizza-flavored cereal. The companies revealed that the limited-edition breakfast item will pair the savory flavor of Totino's Pizza Rolls with the sweetness and cereal shape of Cinnamon Toast Crunch to create a "match made in mashup heaven" full of "bold flavors."
To give customers the "ultimate experience," the exclusive flavor will be served in packaging inspired by a pizza delivery box.
