Thomas Markle 'very sad' about letter drama with Meghan

Thomas Markle Sr. has broken his silence about the the drama between himself and daughter Meghan Markle, just days after releasing the private letter she sent him back in August.

While out in Rosarito, Mexico, the 74-year-old was questioned about his strained relationship with the Duchess of Sussex.

“I love my daughter very much,” he said in a video obtained by The Sun. “I’m very sad.”

Last week, Thomas amped up the drama between himself and Meghan after releasing a heartfelt letter she sent her father back in August.

The bombshell letter release came after five unnamed people from Meghan’s inner-circle opened up about the Duchess, wanting to “speak the truth” after months of negative press and attacks on social media.

They mentioned the five-page letter she wrote to her father, which prompted Thomas Sr. to hand over the letter to The Mail on Sunday, revealing that the Duchess had begged him to stop exploiting their relationship – a plea he has obviously ignored.

“Dad, I’m so heartbroken, I love you,” Meghan stated the letter.

“I have one father. Please stop victimising me through the media so we can repair our relationship.”

Thomas’ most recent comments can’t be helping the situation with Meghan, as it comes in a series of blows for the pair’s fractured relationship.

Thomas famously pulled out of walking his daughter down the aisle at her May wedding, just days before it was due to take place.

Shortly after, Thomas began to take notes out of his eldest daughter, Samantha Markle‘s book giving interviews to the press.
