The Project's Carrie Bickmore disgusted by revolting cleaning hack
The Project's Carrie Bickmore has been left disgusted by one woman's hack to keep her toilet brush clean.
In an anonymous post on parenting forum Mumsnet, the woman admitted she cleaned her toilet brush in the dishwasher every few months.
"I just put the brush and holder in, on their own, on a hot wash, and they come out like new," she wrote in the post.
She added a friend who discovered the bathroom item in the dishwasher when she had popped over for coffee "totally freaked out", saying it was "totally disgusting".
The woman asked the forum whether her friend was being unreasonable, to which one commented it was "absolutely disgusting".
On The Project on Tuesday night, Carrie also expressed strong feelings on the issue, appearing queasy as the panel discussed the 'hack'.
"Once you say that no one is ever going to come around," she said of the woman putting the toilet brush in the dishwasher.
"With a dishwasher, nothing is ever fully clean."
Her co-host Tommy Little added when he gets to the point of needing to clean his toilet brush, he "splashes out" to get a new one, before mocking Waleed Aly for being "awfully quiet" on the issue while the panellists laughed.
Kate Langbroek's 'gross' admission
It comes after The Project's Kate Langbroek shocked co-panellists in May after she revealed she and her husband Peter routinely shared the same toothbrush.
"We drifted into it. Now the whole family...," she said, before Lisa Wilkinson replied, "Stop, don't go there".
Kate went on the add they had a communal cup in the bathroom.

"We've technically got enough toothbrushes for everyone, but not the will to allocate colours," she said.
"Just pick a random one. Sometimes I go, 'That's a bit shaggy'."
Waleed also admitted he would too share a toothbrush if he had left his in the downstairs bathroom.
