The Morning Show host unrecognisable in throwback snap: 'Where's Ron Burgundy?'

The Morning Show host Larry Emdur has uploaded a hilarious throwback snap on Instagram.

The Morning Show host Larry Emdur has uploaded a throwback snap on Instagram, inspired by an interview with Aussie actor Stephen Peacocke.

While Stephen was on the show to talk about the new season of RFDS (Royal Flying Doctor Service}, Larry started chatting to the former Home and Away star about another one of his roles — as sports editor Rob Rickards on The Newsreader.

Larry took to Instagram to share a side-by-side of himself in the '80s, alongside Stephen's look in The Newsreader, and the similarities are uncanny.

"Stephen Peacocke is on The Morning Show today and I might have to ask him who inspired his 'sexy classic' 80s look for his role in The Newsreader," Larry captioned the post.

Fans and celebs alike loved the throwback pic.

"I am hearing 'discover yourself at Stefan' when I look into your eyes Larry," Masked Singer and Bachelor host Osher Gunsberg commented, referencing an '80s ad for hairdressing salon Stefan.

"Bro, where’s my hairspray?" Larry's co-host Kylie Gillies quipped.

"Where’s Ron Burgundy?" another fan joked.

"It’s great Seven’s props department kept the wig," another person said.

It's not the first time Larry has taken to his Instagram to show fans a throwback snap of his '80s style.

Last month he shared this happy snap taken from 1987, showing Larry sporting some blonde tips while reporting for 10 Evening News.
