The Block's Paige and Jesse call off their wedding with heartbreaking note
EXCLUSIVE: The controversial couple have dropped a major relationship bombshell after quitting the show midway through filming.
Paige Beechey and Jesse Maguire had quite a tumultuous relationship on this year’s season of The Block, with many viewers speculating that they wouldn’t stay together after they quit the competition midway through filming. Now, three weeks after their exit played out on screen, Yahoo Lifestyle can exclusively reveal that the WA-based couple have called off their wedding.
A source close to the pair tells us that Paige and Jesse, who have been together for seven years and got engaged in April 2022, made the decision before the reality show began airing in August. “They haven’t told anyone from The Block about their relationship update and their co-stars have no idea,” the insider adds.

Paige and Jesse also sent out a cancellation notice to their guests informing them of the news, which Yahoo Lifestyle has obtained a copy of.
“Dearest friends and beloved family, it is with profound contemplation that we are reaching out to you today and we hope this message finds you well,” the message begins.
“Life, in its unpredictable course, has presented us with unforeseen circumstances that have led us to the decision to postpone our upcoming wedding on 12 December 2024. Whilst we were eagerly looking forward to celebrating our love and commitment with you all; we believe it is essential to acknowledge when a moment is not right, and this year, it is not.”
The pair went on to apologise “for any inconvenience or disappointment this news may bring”, and specified that they haven’t organised a new date for their wedding.
“A new date for our celebration is unknown at this time, but we will keep you abreast of any rescheduling in the future,” they continued. “We are eternally grateful for your continued presence in our lives and we will keep you updated on everything that happens in between. Always, with love and gratitude, Paige Beechey and Jesse Maguire.”
Are Paige and Jesse still together?
It remains to be seen if Paige and Jesse will reschedule their wedding next year. However, their relationship update comes shortly after they confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle that they are still together after quitting The Block and have a much stronger relationship thanks to the reality show.
“We actually walked away quite closer. That’s what’s insane, we walked away from The Block closer,” Jesse told us earlier this month. “Not one bit did we ever question our relationship. For me, I just questioned parts of myself and how I can be a better person in general.”

The couple also recently travelled to Europe with friends visiting the United Kingdom and Cyprus, and Paige shared a sweet Instagram post celebrating Jesse’s 30th birthday in June.
“Loved doing your 20s with you 🫶🏽 Happy 30th to the best man I know,” she wrote alongside a gallery of loved-up snaps, to which Jesse replied, “Just getting started”.
