The Block: Rumours fan favourite leaving the show for rival network
Speculation is rife Dream Home's Dr Chris Brown could be having a new co-host soon.
The Block hasn't even started yet but already the drama is kicking off, with rumours that one of the stars of the show could be jumping ship to head to a rival network.
Shaynna Blaze has been a judge on The Block since 2012, but speculation is now rife that Channel Seven has eyes on the interior designer and television personality, and wanting to lure her over to co-host Dream Home alongside Dr Chris Brown.
According to New Idea, a source spilled that the network believes Chris and Shaynna would be the ultimate powerhouse hosting duo.
"Chris and Shaynna would be a winning combo. They would have a great on-screen rapport," the TV insider told the magazine.
They also said Channel Seven tried to poach Shaynna for the first season of the show, but failed to win her over. "'It's true they tried really hard to get Shaynna the first time around. In the end she proved too expensive," the source said.

The news of Shaynna's potential network switch comes after the 61-year-old released her debut single 'Warrior' in May. “This track means so much to me. I can’t wait to share it with you," she said on Instagram ahead of its official launch, with her announcement met with excitement from fans, friends, and other famous Aussies.
"Here she comes," Dannii Minogue commented. "GO SHAYNNA," Jessica Origliasso of the Veronicas fame wrote, while former Olympic swimmer Giann Rooney called her a "multi-talented fabulous chameleon".
Shaynna also appeared on The Masked Singer in 2023 as Bluebottle, surprising everyone who thought she wouldn't be allowed to appear on the Channel 10 series due to her commitments with The Block.

At the time, The Masked Singer judge Dave 'Hughesy' Hughes claimed that Shaynna didn't tell anyone from Nine that she was appearing on the show.
“She said she doesn’t have an exclusive clause in her [Nine] contract, so she thought, ‘I love to sing, I’ve been a cabaret singer in the past, people don’t really know about it now … I’m gonna go on Masked Singer, and The Block can find out on the night’,” Hughes said.
