The Bachelor's Irena Srbinovska dishes show secrets and debunks fan theory
The Bachelor’s Irena Srbinovska has spilled behind-the-scenes secrets from the reality show, one year after she stole Locky Gilbert’s heart.
Taking to her Instagram page, the Melbourne nurse, who is currently living in WA with Locky, also debunked a popular fan theory about the colour of the dress the eventual winner wears on finale night.
It’s long been thought that the lighter the colour of the dress, the more likely it is that person has won the whole reality show.
However, on Irena’s series, the 31-year-old was given a leopard print dress to wear, admitting it completely threw her.

“I didn’t know what I was wearing until the morning of finale. I tried on five dresses (all different colours) and then this one was picked for me,” she wrote on Instagram Stories.
“Like everyone watching I was like ‘if I’m wearing a light colour it’s a good sign’, and then this threw me. Like leopard print? What does that mean?”
Irena, who won Locky’s heart over runner-up Bella Veralis, went on to show the disguise she had to wear “in case paps found us”.
It features a black hoodie pulled up over her face, a black face mask, a pair of oversized sunglasses and a cut out of red lips.
In another photo, Irena revealed she and Locky went to a ‘secret location’ after the finale for a few days, at Wallong House in Hunter Valley.
The windows in the estate were covered so they wouldn’t be found out.
After their little getaway together, the pair spent 10 weeks apart before Irena flew to Sydney to quarantine for two weeks ahead of the finale airing.
“Locky and I were snuck into a hotel together to watch the last two episodes together,” she wrote.
“I don’t know how I wasn’t recognised.”
Since their time on the show, Irena and Locky have become somewhat of a travel influencer couple on Instagram, sharing beautiful photos from their travels around Australia.
The pair embarked on an epic 7-month road trip around Australia immediately after their season of The Bachelor finished airing on TV, which Irena described as a “crash course in getting to know each other”.
“When you’re on the road with someone like this for so long, you really get to see the good, the bad and the ugly,” Locky added. “But we’ve had an amazing time and know we’ll be together forever.”
However, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing for the pair and in July, the pair shared the devastating news that they had suffered a miscarriage.
“During our first few months together I, unfortunately, suffered a miscarriage,” Irena told WHO.
“But Locky was my absolute rock and having his support made me love him even more.”
