Temperatures were soaring on The Bachelor last night as Abbie Chatfield turned up the heat at not only the photo shoot group date, but during her alone time with Matt Agnew at the cocktail party.
The bubbly 23-year-old herself spent a lot of her time locking lips with Matt in the orchard, securing her a rose and at least another week on the show.
However, despite being one of Matt’s top picks, Abbie’s sneaky smooches quickly made her as least popular person in The Bachelor mansion, and it’s been revealed that things behind-the-scenes have gone south for the contestant and her rivals.
Rachael explained that what made the other bachelorettes even more furious was the fact that Abbie had promised she wouldn’t kiss Matt during that alone time, but she went and did it anyway.
What followed was massive tension behind the scenes, and a ‘huge divide’ in the mansion.
“All the girls were angry. It caused a huge divide,” said Rachael.
An alleged insider also told the publication, “She became one of the most unpopular girls in the house”.
During last night’s episode, Abbie was one of several bachelorettes chosen for the photo shoot group date.
She and Vakoo Kauapirura were paired to appear in a frame with Matt, and it didn’t take long for Abbie to draw the focus on her as she turned on her seductive allure.
After last night’s episode aired, Abbie made light of her secret kisses with Matt, posting on her Instagram stories, “When she says she’s not going to kiss the bachelor and then...”.
The Bachelor Australia continues next Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel Ten.
