Tefi Pessoa is ready to “yap.”

The content creator and comedian, 34, co-hosts Prime Video’s new talk show Influenced, premiering on Aug. 1 with a drop of all 10 episodes.

“I was a born yapper so I feel like I was always doing some kind of talk show,” Pessoa, who hosts Influenced with fellow social media personalities Achieng Agutu, Eyal Booker, Taryn Delanie Smith and Cyrus Veyssi, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “When I think about me as a child, I was never quiet. I was never reserved.”

Born and raised in Miami to a Colombian and Brazilian family, Pessoa remembers watching Spanish-language talk and variety shows on Telemundo and Univision, like El show de Cristina and Sábado Gigante. She recalls the “intens[ity]” of the programs fondly.

On Influenced, Pessoa and the rest of the panel discuss food, fashion, home design, travel, beauty, entertainment, pop culture, mental health, spirituality and more.

“I feel like each of us have our own kind of lane of interest, and it all meshed so well together that there was never a moment where I'm like, ‘Oh, this person is the lead, or this person isn't getting as much attention,’” she says. “I felt like I was in the talk show of my dreams. Even Cristina [Saralegui] herself could not come up with this concoction.”

Pessoa’s 1.8 million TikTok followers know her passion for and expansive knowledge of fashion is close to her heart. (She even covered the Met Gala as a correspondent for TikTok in May.)

Her “first job as a grown-up” was a wardrobe assistant for a celebrity stylist — and now, she’s styled herself (in tandem with the show’s stylist) for Influenced.

“I have been collecting clothes for over 10 years, and I finally got the chance to wear some '90s vintage Prada,” she says, adding that other than two of her outfits, she wore all her own clothes. “I think in one [episode], I'm wearing a vintage Dior that I got four years ago on the street in Paris. So that was the best.”

She loves pairing designer wares with more accessible garments, like a Tom Ford or Gucci top with her BDG jeans from Urban Outfitters, which she dubs “the best jeans on the market.”

Off the show, her sense of style comes from her “loud” and “colorful” personality: “As I get older, fashion and dressing sexy … is still such an exciting thing for me, and almost rebellious.”

“I got a tramp stamp at 30,” she says. “That's rock and roll.”

Pessoa’s striking collection of tattoos adds a signature edge to all of her looks. She started with a small “22” behind her ear, but she soon “fell in love” with body art, and the pieces got bigger from there.

“I was just in a place where the guy that I was with was getting this huge tattoo, and I was like, ‘Screw it.’ I think the first big, big one I got was the dog barking on my wrist. And after that, I just was getting ballsier and ballsier.”

Of course, that pattern is nothing new for Pessoa, who will do almost anything in her quest for self-expression. “Me and my best friend were in clown school for a while,” she says with a giggle, but then, a seriousness. “Clowning is an art form.”
