Yahoo Lifestyle Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Are “Passing” on the Met Gala Despite Being Invited
Attention everyone who were hoping Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift would make their official red carpet debut as a couple at the 2024 Met Gala in just a few weeks: You’re fresh outta the slammer luck.
According to TMZ, the couple are “passing on” the event, although “sources with direct knowledge” say they were “each issued individual invitations to the Met Gala.” Why, you ask? Unclear, but the Met Gala is May 6—just three days before Taylor restarts the Eras Tour in Paris on May 9. So presumably, she’ll be busy focusing on prep for her performances—especially if (emphasis on IF) she’s adding a Tortured Poets Department set....
Meanwhile, TMZ reports that it’s “unclear why Travis declined the invitation” but accurately notes that he may have RSVP’d no simply because Taylor won’t be there. Plus, he’s rumored to be joining her on tour before the NFL season starts up again.
Trav actually confirmed his plans to Entertainment Tonight, saying, “She’ll be all over Europe. There won’t be a bad show, I promise you that. Oh, you know I gotta go support. You know it.”
He also gushed, “Man, I’ll tell you what. The London shows—I think she’s at Wembley eight times, which is mind-blowing that she can do that many shows in one stadium and fill that thing up. I played at Wembley once and I don’t even think we filled that thing up!”
ANYWAY, speaking of Travis, did you miss Tay basically saying she wants to marry him? ’Cause...
