Taylor Swift Made a Surprise Children's Hospital Visit in a Festive Plaid Set
A patient said the pop star's outfit was "tea."
Taylor Swift is ready for Christmas and is bringing holiday cheer to those who really need it. The pop star made a visit to a children's hospital, much to the surprise of its staffers, patients, and their respective families.
The "Fortnight" singer dropped by the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City on December 12 and wore a festive two-piece set that was perfect for the holidays. Her outfit consisted of a navy blue, green, and yellow plaid jacket with shiny gold buttons and a matching skirt, and she completed the looks with sheer black stockings and knee high boots.
The look was so good, that one fan had a serious compliment for her. "Thank you for saying my outfit was tea," she told a patient named Naya while signing a copy of The Eras Tour Book.
The pop star also took several photos with fans, posing with children in their hospital beds, signing merchandise, and sitting alongside a child who held up a "Go Taylor's Boyfriend" Kansas City Chiefs blanket.
According to People, Travis Kelce came up more than once—Swift reportedly had a sweet conversation about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end with another patient while signing a copy of her book. "I like Travis now," the patient said, to which the pop star replied, "Yes, me too," Swift replied. "That's an absolute yes on that one. Is he your favorite player?" When the patient explained that Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were their favorites on the team, Swift responded, "Good. These are good answers. You are acing this."
On Facebook, a mother of a patient explained the details behind Swift's visit, along with pictures of their son and the singer. "Children's Mercy Hospital does their best to nurse seriously ill children, comfort family, and bring a little joy when they can. Today did not disappoint! " the post read.
"Thank you Taylor Swift for bringing some joy to Rylie today!! One of the nurses said Travis Kelce was in the building as well, but didn't stop in his room. Great way to bring a smile and make a memory!"
