Taylor Swift Just Dropped a Major Hint That 'Reputation (Taylor's Version)' Is on Its Way
Another day, another Easter egg.
Taylor Swift, queen of dropping album-related Easter eggs, has once again sparked speculation as to whether or not Reputation (Taylor's Version) is coming soon. Rather than hint at the release with an outfit, however, this time the clue came via Spotify.
According to some eagle-eyed fans, Swift's albums Reputation and Taylor Swift are missing from the singer's homepage on Spotify—an absence that many took as a sign of something new to come. The albums still appear if you search for them in the app, however.
This wouldn't be the first time that Swift hinted at the possibility of a Reputation release, and today's Spotify Easter egg comes conspicuously close to the 2025 Grammys, which are set to take place on Sunday, February 2. At last year's award show, for example, Swift wore a Lorraine Schwartz choker watch cleverly set to 12:00, a.k.a. midnight. And then there was the lead up to the launch of The Tortured Poet's Department: Swift teased the 2 a.m. release of the second part with clocks in the announcement of her “Fortnight” music video.
Thus, fans have been waiting with bated breath for Reputation (Taylor's Version) for at least a year now, if not longer. Given Swift's penchant for announcing album-related news at awards shows, all eyes will be on the singer come February 2.
“I’m collecting horcruxes," Swift told Time with regard to her growing collection of re-recordings. "I’m collecting infinity stones. Gandalf’s voice is in my head every time I put out a new one. For me, it is a movie now.”
