Taron Egerton Joins Charlize Theron in Baltasar Kormákur’s ‘Apex’ For Netflix
Taron Egerton is set to star opposite Charlize Theron in the Netflix thriller Apex with Baltasar Kormákur in directing.
Jeremy Robbins penned the script, which is described as Free Solo meets Silence of the Lambs and follows a rock climber who finds herself being hunted in the wild.

Theron will produce the project along with Dawn Olmstead, Beth Kono and AJ Dix via their newly launched media company; as will Kormákur through his RVK productions; Ian Bryce ;and Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and David Ready via through Chernin Entertainment.
Egerton broke out on the big-screen with Matthew Vaughn’s comic book adaptation The Kingsman: The Secret Service and reprised his role in Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
He recently wrapped production on Firebug, an Apple TV+, which he also produces, and will next be seen starring in the Netflix thriller Carry On, which hits the streamer on Dec. 13. Also in the can is the indie thriller She Rides Shotgun.
The actor is repped by Range Media, UK’s United Agents, and Sloane Offer. The Hollywood Reporter was first to break the news.
