Tamron Hall debuts new hairstyle on first day back after talk show's summer break

Hall rocked new hair as she welcomed her audience back to the show for season 6.

Tamron Hall has kicked off a new season of her morning talk show with a fresh hairstyle.

Following a lengthy summer hiatus, the 53-year-old Emmy-winning journalist and host launched her season 6 premiere Tuesday with a new theme song and a special performance by recording artist Erica Campbell — but, Hall also wowed her audience with new hair that fell to her shoulders, versus her signature pixie cut.

After Hall took her post at the helm of the live broadcast, she welcomed special guest and former Real Housewives of New York City star Kelly Bensimon for an interview, followed by viral TikTok star Ollie Muhl to the show alongside his grandmother, a former model whose reaction he documented earlier this year when he surprised her with an impromptu photoshoot.

Hall revealed the inspiration for her new hair while speaking with Muhl.

"I'm obsessed. True story, Ollie said, 'How did you see our video?' The reason I saw the video was because I asked [my hairstylist] Johnny to steal her hairstyle for my season premiere," Hall revealed, noting that she fell in love with the ex-model's hair that slicked back behind her ears. "I saw the video of your photoshoot and I said, 'Johnny, look at her hair!' And then I read the story. This is so beautiful."
