Inside Sylvia Jeffreys' luxe nursery for her new baby boy
Channel Nine presenter and mum-to-be Sylvia Jeffreys has given a glimpse inside the luxe nursery she’s decorated ahead of the arrival of her first child.
The 33-year-old took to Instagram on Monday to share some sweet snaps of the decked-out room - complete with a white cot, a handmade koala mobile and lace-trimmed blankets - all ready for her and her husband Peter Stefanovic’s unborn son.
She also included a thank-you message to stylist Anita Birges aka @mise_en_place_aus who helped her transform her ‘version’ of a nursery - which consisted just the white cot in an empty space - into something ‘wonderful’.
“Where have you been all my life @mise_en_place_aus??? Anita has worked her home organising genius over our nursery and now we have drawers and racks and dividers and all sorts of wonderful, magical things that I would NEVER have thought of. Catch her transformation on Today Extra tomorrow morning... and swipe for a before shot to fully appreciate my version of a nursery set up,” Sylvia wrote.
Anita posted several pics to her own account, showcasing the carefully selected - and rather pricey - items around the room adding that she felt ‘so lucky’ to be involved in the makeover.
The white canopy above the bub’s cot, for example, comes in at $139 from Hope & Jade, while the ethically-made cotton blanket by Heritage Blankets costs $50.
A $79 woven rainbow is perched on a high shelf along with several popular children’s books and Aussie-inspired prints dotting the walls.
But the showstopping piece, at least in terms of cash, has to be the Henry Solid Wood Side Table by Alexander St. which retails for a cool $498.
According to the brand’s website, the table features ‘a mix of classic and modern styles that will not date’ meaning Sylvia and Peter’s little one can enjoy it for years to come.
Sylvia and Peter revealed they were expecting a boy back in August this year via Instagram.
The parents-to-be tied the knot in 2017 in the Kangaroo Valley, NSW, after dating for four years.
In December 2018, Sylvia was sensationally axed from her role on the Today show and, in June this year, revealed that she’d received the news via a phone call.
Also in December, her husband Peter announced that he was departing Weekend Today and the Nine Network after 15 years with the channel.
Just hours later, his brother and host of Today, Karl Stefanovic, confirmed he would be following him out the door.
Sylvia went on to land a job on Nine’s 60 Minutes and a new nightly news program Nine News Watch with Sylvia Jeffreys on Facebook Watch, while Peter joined Sky News Australia.
Karl is, of course, set to reclaim his plum role on Today in 2020 alongside new co-host Allison Langdon, ousting existing hosts Deb Knight and Georgie Gardner.
Karl and his second wife, Jasmin Yarbrough, are rumoured to be expecting their first child together, a younger sibling to Jackson, 19, Ava, 13, and River, 12, who he shares with his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn.
