Sydney Sweeney reveals 'instant' chemistry with Glen Powell: 'Couldn't get him out of my mind'
Sydney spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle at the Australian premiere and spilled all the juicy details!
Anyone But You stars Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell sent tongues wagging while filming the romantic comedy in Sydney, Australia, with rumours they became more than friends while filming the enemies-to-lovers story.
In the film, Sydney and Glen star as Bea and Ben, respectively, who meet and have an amazing first date that ends in disaster. A few months later, the now-enemies find themselves at the destination wedding of Bea's sister and Ben's childhood friend.
The pair decide to fake a relationship to help solve some sticky situations they find themselves in – Bea's parents are trying to get her back together with her ex-fiancé, and Ben wants to attract the attention of an old flame. But of course, it's not as simple as that, and drama (and chemistry!) ensue.

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle on the red carpet at the Sydney premiere, Sydney revealed the pair's chemistry was "instant".
"It was instant," Sydney, who was also an executive producer on the film, tells us. "We met first at the MTV Movie Awards very briefly, but there was like a catch in the eye, you're like, 'Hmm!'
"And then when I found this script and I was putting together the cast list, I kept thinking of Glen, because I couldn't get him out of my mind," she adds. "And I was like, let me get on a call with him, pitch him the idea and see if he liked it and he ended up loving it and our first time actually sitting together and spending a lot of time together was here in Sydney, and the first moment we hung out [the chemistry] was instant."
The film's director, Will Gluck, also gushed over the pair and their behind-the-scenes chemistry, telling us, "The thing about this movie, which is true, is that everyone was always on set. They never went back to their trailers. So, every scene, even when people weren't in it, they were behind the camera watching, so it was the first movie that I ever made that the whole time everyone was involved in it.
"So that was really fun, if Glen had a scene and Syd wasn't in it, Syd would be there watching, and, I mean, the chemistry, it's fun to watch these two on camera, because watching them during the whole movie making was something special, and you see that [in] the movie."
Speaking about what makes the movie so special, Will adds, "Watching two people legitimately on camera fall in love, fall out of love, fall back in love. The whole rom-com is all about the two people, if you like seeing them together and even when they're sniping at each other, and they don't like each other, you love watching them."
"You just want to see these two be in the same frame together, and it's a special thing when they are."
Sydney spills on terrifying moment in Sydney Harbour
Sydney also shared a behind-the-scenes story, revealing a terrifying moment she and Glen had while filming a scene in Sydney Harbour, right near the Opera House – not a place most Sydneysiders would ever dream of swimming!
In the scene, which was filmed at night, Sydney's character falls off a boat, and Glen jumps in to save her.
"When we were swimming – we were actually in the Sydney Harbour, like, all of that was real, it's not CGI and they had a shark cage under us and then they also made us wear these shark monitors that look FitBits on our ankles that were supposed to send signals out to keep the sharks away, but I truly think that Glen and I were just test subjects to see if they actually worked!"
Anyone But You is out in cinemas on Boxing Day.
