Kacey Musgraves Denies Rumors She Was Furious at Beyoncé for Grammys Win
Singer Kacey Musgraves has denied rumors that she was irritated by Beyoncé winning Best Country Album over her during the 67th Grammy Awards Sunday.
“It’s a sensationalistic false narrative meant to pit two talented female artists against each other,” a representative for the artist told E! News on Monday. “There was simply no scowl or expression made.”
A clip of Musgraves reacting to Beyoncé’s win made the rounds Sunday night where many online seemed to think that she looked upset.

“Kacey Musgraves is p---ed that Beyoncé beat her for best country album, look at her face expression,” one user wrote on X Grammy evening.
Another said, “Kacey Musgraves is looking p---ed after losing to Beyoncé [I can’t lie] it tickled me a lil.”
Fox News even parroted the rumors Monday night, with guest Raymond Arroyo hinging on Musgraves’ reaction to slam Beyoncé’s win in a country category.
“The country artists are not really happy about this,” Arroyo told host Laura Ingraham on The Ingraham Angle. “Basically the look on Kacey Musgraves’ face is the look on everybody’s today.”
Beyoncé was the first Black woman in 50 years to win an award in a Grammy country category Sunday. The singer was already the most-awarded artist in Grammy history, and yet her critically acclaimed 2024 feat Cowboy Carter added three more trophies to her glowing roster.
She ended up winning in the Best Country Album, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and Album of the Year categories.
