Survivor and AFLW star's pregnancy joy after three IVF heartbreaks

Two-time Survivor contestant and former AFLW star Moana Hope has shared the exciting news she and wife Isabella Carlstrom are expecting their first child.

Moana, who made it to the final three on Survivor: All Stars alongside David Genat and Sharn Coombes, posted the happy news along with an ultrasound image on Instagram.

“We are going to be MUMS,” she wrote. “I don’t yet have the words to fully explain how happy we are.

“It’s a dream come true for us and in November we get to meet our little person.”

Moana went on to thank the team at Monash IVF Clinic, after previously revealing the pair went through three unsuccessful IVF attempts.

“From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank @monashivf and the team for everything you have done to support us,” she continued. “You have helped make this dream a reality. Holding this in for 13 weeks has been so bloody hard. My heart is exploding.”

Isabella, who is a model, will be carrying their unborn baby, also sharing her excitement online.

“It’s been a beautiful journey and I can’t believe we’re finally at this point,” she wrote.

Moana and Isabella married in Melbourne in August last year after Isabella was the one to pop the question.

The former Collingwood and North Melbourne AFLW player had previously said she wants three to four children, and would like to carry one of their children.

After going through three failed attempts Moana said the pair were staying positive.

“It is completely normal. We reset after every time we give it a go and then we try again,” she said earlier in the year.

Late last year, Moana was one of a host of Survivor contestants to take part in the Golden Towel Challenge on Instagram.

It began as an in-joke between two ex-Australian Survivor season four contestants, David Genet and Johnny Eastoe, that eventually saw a host of fellow reality TV stars strip off.

Hunky Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia, 50, blessed everyone when he did a spot of mechanics in his birthday suit. Ever the jokester, the Aussie actor swapped the towel for a bottle of car oil, rebranding his pics as the #changemyoilchallenge.

Other tribe mates who got in on the nudie action were AFLW’s Moana Hope, season one’s Lee Carseldine, Shonee Fairfax (season three) and Daisy Richardson.
