“Survivor 47” exclusive deleted scene shows Rachel sick of being left out of the vote
And Gabe tries to move another chess piece across the board.
Rachel LaMont came to play Survivor! She actually came to play Survivor 46, but couldn't crack the cast as an alternate, however that's an entirely different story. So when Survivor 47 came along and she didn't just fly to Fiji for nothing, Rachel was ready to play.
And play Rachel has. She's finding French fry immunity idols! She's playing a Shot in the Dark! She's solving puzzles in absurdly fast times! But it can be hard when other people are also playing Survivor, and they are playing it against you.

The difficultly for Rachel began when Andy Rueda joined Sam Phalen and Sierra Wright in taking out Rachel's biggest ally in Anika Dhar, and Rachel has been playing a little off her back foot ever since. That can be frustrating, and we see that frustration bubbling over in an exclusive deleted scene from this week's episode of Survivor 47.
"This last tribal I was left out of the vote again, and I am sick of it," Rachel says in a confessional interview on the heels of Sierra's blindside. "I'm just over it and I don't really know why it keeps happening. I'm just kind of at a loss. And also, it's annoying. I don't want to be here in this position. At this point I'll settle for being part of the group, let alone dictating anything."

Which is why the scene shows her taking a walk to the water well with Gabe Ortis and Kyle Ostwald — a walk that is just as important to Gabe as it is to Rachel. "Last Tribal Council we took out Sierra," Gabe explains in an interview. "So now I need to have a conversation with Rachel, because Rachel was completely left out of the vote and she's looking for a home right now."
The scene, which can be watched above, begins with Gabe friend-checking Rachel and the latter doing her best to not seem… well, annoyed and sick of it. "I mean, I get why it happened the way it happened," she responds. "I'm not pissed about it. Thank you for being explosive in your answers to the point where I was like, 'There's no way Gabe's going home tonight.'"

And then Rachel makes her move. "I mean, I'm happy I played my Shot in the Dark," she tells Gabe. "Because I feel like that was the right move for me. I didn't know if it was me, and I'm glad I didn't end up throwing a vote on you. But yeah, I'd like to play with you guys at some point."
We won't spoil how the scene ends, except to say that we get to see Gabe explain where he is coming from in the exchange, and it all ends with Rachel handing Gabe an imaginary résumé and pleading, "Maybe you give me a chance." Well, I guess we kinda did just spoil it by giving away the ending, but if you have never seen a person hand over an imaginary résumé, now is your chance! Watch it all go down in the video at the top of the article.
