With Charli XCX pulling both the hosting and musical guest gigs this week, she presented the perfect opportunity for some still-in-the-dark SNL cast members to do some digging. In this week’s promo, Chloe Fineman does just that.

Stopping by the writing room, Fineman attempts a conversation but gets nothing in return but the single word “brat.” How’s Charli XCX feeling? Brat. Need advice about a rash? Brat.

“I’m sorry, I don’t know what you’re saying,” Fineman finally says. “It just sounds like you’re repeating the word…”

“Brat,” responds this week’s host.
