Sunrise's Kochie gushes over 6-week-old granddaughter at Carols in the Domain
It’s become a tradition for thousands of families in Australia, either attending Carols in the Domain or watching the magic unfold on TV at Christmas.
And Kochie, who hosts the show alongside his Sunrise co-host Nat Barr, made sure he started the tradition early with his adorable six-week-old granddaughter Florence, who was pictured at the event on Saturday in Sydney.
The show, which aired last night, featured an array of artists, including The Wiggles, The Voice winner Bella Taylor Smith and Samantha Jade.
And a number of Kochie’s eight grandchildren didn’t miss out on the action, with the proud grandfather taking to Instagram to show off their smiling faces.
“Watch out for Florence who makes a cameo during Silent Night,” Kochie wrote, alongside a photo of Florence resting in Kochie’s eldest daughter Samantha's arms in The Domain.

The next snap showed the rest of his grandkids dressed up in their best festive attire, with Kochie captioning the photo: “Love how the grandkids see it as our Christmas tradition.”
Florence’s birth came just three weeks before Kochie welcomed his eight grandchild into the world,
He announced at the end of November that his son AJ and wife Carolina had welcomed a daughter, named Catalina May Koch.
Earlier that week, Kochie shared a second photo on Instagram of himself and his wife, Libby, holding their two new grandchildren.
“When Cali met Florrie,” he wrote. “How blessed we are to have two little granddaughters born within three weeks of each other.
“Watching these cousins grow is going to be fun. Great to have Cali home… And to top off a great day her other grandparents, Pepe and Laura from Guadalajara, received their visa to come for Christmas.”
Kochie later replied to a follower on Twitter and explained why both Catalina and Florence share the middle name ‘May’.
“My Mum’s name,” he said. “She now has 14 great-grandchildren, 9 under 5 years old. Going to be a wild Christmas table.”
