Sunrise presenter awkwardly falls on co-host in hilarious on-air fail

Sunrise presenter Monique Wright found herself in an awkward situation on the brekky program after she fell on sports reporter Mark Beretta. Monique was filling in for host Nat Barr when she found herself in the precarious position on Thursday.

To mark the Sumo Suit championship in Sydney, Mark suited up as he was challenged to a wrestling match live on-air.

After he lost the challenge, Monique tried to extend a helping hand to get the sports presenter back on his feet.

Co-host David Koch yelled, "No, don't help him up, push him down".

Monique then jokingly sat on Mark before a crew member derailed the segment as he tackled Monique onto the sports reporter.

The show had to go on however, and Monique attempted to continue following her script to end the segment while she flailed on her back.
