Tane and Felicity’s wedding is off

Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) was ecstatic when Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) accepted his romantic proposal, but she wasn’t on the same page.

Instead of talking to Tane about her fears, Felicity turns to what she does best: self-sabotage.

“She doesn’t believe she is good enough, and is having a bit of an identity crisis,” Jacqui tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

“She is also incredibly scared of commitment because everyone she loved has left her.”

After Felicity complains to Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright) about the pressure of getting married, the cop loses it.

Reminding Felicity that he would give anything to be engaged to Jasmine Delaney (Sam Frost), the Salt owner realises she’s struck a nerve.

“It definitely helps her see it from another point of view and gives her a moment to recalibrate,” Jacqui spills.

Tane notices that something isn’t quite right with Felicity, and pushes her to tell him why. Finally, he realises that she doesn’t want to commit to their future together or the wedding.

He calls the entire wedding off, and leaves Felicity stunned.

Jacqui says that Felicity realises that she has “lost everything”, and only has herself to blame. “You only realise what you want [when] it’s gone,” she adds.

Bree’s violent husband taunts Remi

Remi discovered last week that Bree Cameron (Julie Godwin) is trapped in an abusive marriage, with proof of Jacob’s (Alex Williams) temper showing up as physical wounds on Bree’s face.

This week, he is confronted by Jacob who attempts to provoke the musician.

In an attempt to protect his friend Bree, Remi pretends to be oblivious to Jacob’s abuse, for fear that she will end up being hurt even further.

While he doesn’t understand why she isn’t able to leave the marriage, Remi promises Bree that he’s willing to do anything she needs, including staying silent.

In a tense and heartbreaking situation, Remi is the one shining beacon of hope for Bree.
