‘Southern Charm’ Star Opens Up About Husband’s ‘Scary’ Health Battle One Year After Wedding

Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy is shedding light on the tough times she and her husband, Brett Randle, have navigated since saying "I do."

During Thursday's episode of the Bravo series, the reality TV personality explained that around the same time that the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary, her husband learned he had cancer.

“I thought, like, how? Like, I’m finally happy,” Madison said in a confessional. “It’s just scary.”

The two married in November 2022, meaning sometime in late 2023, Brett discovered the 3-centimeter nodule, which he had removed from his thyroid, was cancerous. Despite the surgery being an overall success, Brett experienced complications afterward.

“I have to go see a specialist for it,” he said, explaining that it feels like there's "a marble stuck" in his throw when he swallows but that "it's alright" because he's "getting used to it."

“It’s like two stages. I don’t know, so I got to go see an ENT for it and then probably have to do some type of therapy," he added.

"I feel like we can’t catch a f--king break," Madison admitted, saying elsewhere that the couple's plans to have their first child together have been put “on pause,” understandably so, as they prioritize Brett's health and recovery.

Madison—a mom to an 11-year-old named Hudson from her previous marriage—said she "didn’t go into detail about what cancer can do to someone” when discussing the diagnosis with her son. “And I try not to let Hudson see me emotional because like, I have to be strong for my family."
