Sofía Vergara Says She's Manifesting 'a Boyfriend' in 2025: 'Or a Lover, Maybe'

The actress split from her husband, Joe Manganiello, in July 2023 after seven years of marriage and was linked to Justin Saliman thereafter

Sofía Vergara has her eyes set on love!

The actress, 52, opened up about her new year's goals in an interview with Access Hollywood at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 5.

"Health, money, a boyfriend," she listed, before cheekily adding, "or a lover, maybe."

Vergara was nominated for best performance by a female actor in an anthology series for her work in the Netflix series Griselda, but the award ultimately went to True Detective: Night Country star Jodie Foster.

The two had a playful interaction during the award show. When Foster went to start her acceptance speech, the Modern Family alum jokingly yelled, "No, no! Give me one."

Foster then gave the actress a special shout-out in her speech, saying, "The greatest thing about being this age and being in this time is having a community of all these people, especially you, Sofía."

Vergara split from her husband, Joe Manganiello, in July 2023 after seven years of marriage. The pair began dating in 2014 and became engaged that December. Their divorce was finalized in April 2024.

They released a statement to Page Six at the time, which read, "We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives."

In January 2024, the America’s Got Talent judge told Spanish newspaper El País that she and her ex weren't on the same page when it came to expanding their family.

"My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom," Vergara explained. "I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore."

Vergara has since been on dates with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman.

The pair were last linked in July when the actress posted a photo on Instagram of Justin relaxing during their Italian getaway.

The post was simply captioned “❤️.”
