Selena Gomez was a modern-day Cinderella at the Golden Globes
Selena Gomez and fiancé Benny Blanco walked the red carpet together last night for the 2025 Golden Globes in co-ordinating fairy-tale looks.
The actress and singer was radiant in an ice-blue satin column dress, custom-made by Prada. The Cinderella-esque dress featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and a column skirt with geometric panels, and a long train that she wore wrapped over her arm. Gomez paired the gown with satin pumps in the same delicate blue hue and layers of sparkling jewellery from Tiffany & Co – including a diamond necklace, stud earrings and rings — plus, of course, her new marquise-cut engagement ring from Blanco.
The record producer and songwriter matched Gomez’s energy in a princely white suit and lace floral top.
As fans will know, it was a big night for Gomez, who was nominated for two awards: for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her work in Only Murders in the Building, as well as in the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture category for her role in Emilia Pérez (the prize ultimately went to her co-star Zoe Saldaña, who was also nominated in the same category).
Emilia Pérez earned a whopping 10 Golden Globe nominations, with lead actor Karla Sofía Gascón being nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture —Musical or Comedy. The musical cartel crime drama took home four awards in the end, including Best Original Song for “El Mal,” Best Foreign Language Film, and Best Motion Picture: Musical or Comedy.
Gomez’s hit Hulu show Only Murders in the Building was nominated in the best musical or comedy TV series category, and co-stars and real-life friends Martin Short and Steve Martin were both nominated in the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series —Musical or Comedy category.
Earlier this month, Gomez filmed her reaction to her nominations and posted an emotional video to her Instagram Story. “I don’t even know what to write,” she captioned the footage. “I’m so proud of Zoe Saldaña, and I am so grateful and honoured.”
