Need evidence that love still exists? Just look to Barack and Michelle Obama. Even after 32 (!!) years of marriage, these two are still going as strong as ever, and Barack just proved it by posting the sweet message on Instagram in honor of Michelle's 61st birthday.

Alongside a picture of himself and his wife holding hands across the table (my heart!), the former president wrote, "Happy birthday to the love of my life, @MichelleObama. You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace – and you look good doing it."

He concluded his message with, "I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you!"

As fans know, the couple isn't shy about showing off their love on social media. In honor of their 32nd wedding anniversary back in October, Barack also posted a cute pic on IG for the occasion, writing, "Happy anniversary, @MichelleObama! 32 years together, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner and friend to go through life with."

Michelle shared the same pic from the Whitney Museum of American Art on her own feed, alongside the caption, "32 action packed years with my honey! Through it all, thank you for always having my back, being by my side, and finding ways to make me smile. I love you, @BarackObama."

Oh, and for those still freaking out because Michelle skipped Jimmy Carter's funeral (and doesn't plan on attending Donald Trump's inauguration)? She has a good explanation for missing both events.

Re: Jimmy Carter's funeral, the former first lady had a scheduling conflict that kept her from attending, but she sent “her thoughts and prayers to the Carter family, and everyone who loved and learned from the remarkable former president,” per her spokeswoman, Crystal Carson.

And why isn't she attending Trump's inauguration, you ask? According to a source for People, “There’s no overstating her feelings about [Trump]. She’s not one to plaster on a pleasant face and pretend for protocol’s sake. Michelle doesn’t do anything because it’s expected or it’s protocol or it’s tradition.”
