Sam Heughan Makes Unexpected R-Rated Movie Confession: 'Real Naughty'
Sam Heughan is fessing up.
The Outlander star recently admitted to watching the R-rated movie Basic Instinct when he was probably too young, and he now wants his mom to know that he's "sorry."
In a clip shared to Instagram by Entertainment Weekly, Heughan, 44, was asked about some of his "pop culture favorites" including one movie that he probably should've waited until he got older to see.
"My mom is going to kill me," he said, before he confessed, "It was Basic Instinct."
The erotic thriller film starring Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone released in 1992, making Heughan around 12 years old at the time it came out.
"Sorry mom," he added in the clip.
But while Heughan's mom may not be pleased to hear about him watching the R-rated film at a young age, the actor's fans were certainly amused by the tidbit.
"You were very young to watch Basic Instinct, weren't you," one of his followers commented, while another called Heughan "real naughty" after hearing the confession.
Someone else in the comments called Heughan "absolutely charming" for sweetly apologizing to his mom in the clip.
"Love this👏 Great answers," added another.
In addition to the Basic Instinct answer, Heughan also shed light on more of his pop culture favorites in the clip, including his favorite movie to quote (Back to the Future) and his first celebrity crush (the cartoon character Jessica Rabbit and actress Gilian Anderson in X-Files).
