Mark Wahlberg Is Barely Recognizable After Drastic Transformation for New Project

Mark Wahlberg is back on the big screen in another action-packed flick, but audiences might struggle to recognize him.

In a series of promotional photos reposted to X from Wahlberg's movie Flight Risk, the 53-year-old actor has an all-new, mostly hairless look, with a prominent bald spot on the top of his head.

"He will make this hairstyle popular," predicted one X user.

"Marky Mark going for the Oscar with that hairline," somebody else quipped.

"We've entered the Old Man Mark part of Wahlberg's career roles," a different fan pointed out.

"Dang bro! Thats what MW look like on the other timeline where he didn’t become a successful Hollywood actor," yet another commenter teased.

Wahlberg gave his followers a sneak peek from the hair and makeup chair in his Instagram Stories on Thursday, Jan. 23, posting a snap that showed him getting fake blood applied to his nose.

Earlier this month, on Jan. 2, he shared a video depicting the process of having his head shaved for the Mel Gibson-directed movie.

"Check out @flightriskmovie 🥸🔥🎥🎬 keeping it real🥸 no bald cap🥸🥸 NO CAP🔥," he wrote in the caption.

In the short clip, Wahlberg looked resigned as a hair stylist took a razor to his scalp.

“F--k you lookin’ at?” he asked while glaring at the camera, adding, “It’s gonna come back."
