Getting fired is never fun, and when you're a major media personality like Robert Griffin III, who works for a huge network like ESPN, it's probably even less fun because it seems the whole world knows you lost your job.

However, RG3 had the best response to something he seemingly might not have known was coming. On Thursday, after reports surfaced that Griffin and colleague Sam Ponder had been panned by the network due to budget cuts, Griffin took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a meme about the situation.

But he didn't just share any meme. He shared a clip from the movie Friday, where John Witherspoon's character Pops chides his son, Craig, over his job troubles, saying, "How the [expletive] you gonna get fired on your day off?" AMAZING. 10/10 content. No notes.

The meme usage was actually pretty elite, and fans had a field day with it.
