Richard Reid claims Karl Stefanovic used spray-on hair

With another episode of, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! comes another night of candid confessions by the campmates, and this time it’s Richard Reid who’s spilling the beans.

While speaking with Gogglebox star Angie Kent, the former entertainment reporter, who had worked on the Today show for seven years, revealed something very juicy about the show’s ex-host Karl Stefanovic.

Recalling a time he was getting ready backstage at Today, Richard said, “So I go into the hair room, and this guy looks up and he’s kinda like balding – it was Karl Stefanovic without his spray-on hair!”

“He has spray-on hair?” a shocked Angie asked.

“Yep and then he went away and got hair plugs,” Richard said, while noticeably feeling a little guilty about spilling Karl’s secret.

“He had one of those six-week vacations and came back with (made gestures for hair plugs). And he still used the spray until it filled in,” he then added.

“Oh Karlos, bald as an eagle,” Angie replied, before adding, “God he’d be so cross if he knew that was being spread around”.

And it’s not the first time it’s been speculated that Karl might have had hair plugs, as the Sydney Morning Herald reported in 2017 that the tv-host wanted to ‘maintain his beloved looks’ by getting a hair transplant to hide any thinning.

After Richard’s revelation, it seems Karl can’t catch a break from being in the headlines at the moment after he was dramatically axed from Channel 9’s Today show following his lavish wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough in Mexico.

Not long after that, reports came out that Karl was ‘furious’ about the news of his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn’s new tv gig on Dancing With The Stars, considering the halt in his own career.
