Karl is apparently 'fuming' over ex-wife Cassandra's new gig

Karl Stefanovic has certainly had his fair share of media attention lately after his lavish wedding to Jasmin Yarbrough was followed by the news he was being dumped from the Today Show.

However, now it’s his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn’s turn in the spotlight and apparently, Karl isn’t all that happy about it.

While his TV career takes a setback, Cassandra will be putting on her dancing shoes to compete in reality show, Dancing With the Stars.

“It will be the ultimate slap in the face for Karl to see Cass on TV looking fitter than she’s ever been,” an unnamed source told Woman’s Day, “And trust me, he’ll be raging behind closed doors.”

The source also claimed that Karl has been “genuinely worried about his future,” so the thought of his ex-wife having a great new gig is not sitting well with him.

Since their split, over two years ago, the mum of three has been busy launching a career as a children’s book author and when the opportunity came up to appear on Dancing With the Stars, she couldn’t refuse.

“If you don’t do something, an opportunity that you never thought would come up and if you said no, you will regret it one day,” she said in an interview with The Daily Telegraph.

And her co-star, Samuel Johnson, has already eyed her out to be hot competition while joking about that he would “go there” with Karl Stefanovic’s ex.

“I did tell her she looks great and it looks like she’s going to go all the way because she’s got the moves. She’s got swagger and she looks bangin’,” Sam said during an interview on Nova FM’s Fitzy and Wippa.

Meanwhile, Karl’s brother Peter Stefanovic is also currently looking for a job after he parted ways with Nine just days before Karl’s own departure was announced.

Peter has since had his feelers out, and his agent posted a job call out to the media earlier this month looking for “any upcoming relevant opportunities including ambassador roles and MC/Hosting opportunities”.
