Richard Gere's Wife Shares Sweet Video of Actor Holding Hands with His Young Son as They Explore Spain
The family recently moved to Alejandra's home country of Spain after spending several years in the United States
Richard Gere is celebrating the holidays abroad this year.
On Wednesday, Jan. 1, the actor's wife, Alejandra Silva, shared a video on her Instagram Stories as the family spent some time together exploring her home country of Spain after moving from the United States.
In the video, the actor can be seen holding hands with one of his young sons, wearing a red hat and black puffer jacket as the two cross a bridge. Silva pans to show the view, which includes a city built on top of cliffs.
"Visiting cuenca," Silva writes of the Spanish city set in the mountains of east-central Spain.
Gere, 75, and Silva share sons Alexander, 5, and James, 4, plus Gere's son Homer, 24, whom he shares with ex Carey Lowell, and Silva's son Albert, 11.

At the end of November, Silva shared a sweet snap on Instagram from the family's home in Spain as the couple's little ones helped to set up some Christmas decor. While one child hung ornaments on their large, lit-up Christmas tree, the other unpacked boxes of Santa statues and seasonal knick-knacks.
"As James says, mom, mom, today is the first day of Christmas! How I like their energy, their innocence ♥️ , this year finally, Christmas in Spain! #merrychristmas #feliznavidad," the proud mom captioned her post, translated from Spanish to English.
This past April, Gere told Vanity Fair Spain that he planned to move to Silva's home country of Spain to allow her to be closer to her relatives.
"For Alejandra, it will be wonderful to be closer to her family, her lifelong friends and her culture," he said of his wife. "She was very generous in giving me six years living in my world, so it is only fair that I give her at least another six living in hers."
This fall, Gere was joined by Silva and his eldest son Homer at the New York City premiere of his show The Agency.
The actor posed proudly in between his wife and son at The Museum of Modern Art, wearing a classic black suit and white shirt which he left unbuttoned at the top.
The actor's son matched his dad in a similar ensemble, while Silva stunned in a glittering gold pleated skirt, which she paired with a matching crochet-style top. The Spanish publicist wore her hair in loose curls and completed the glam get-up with some smoky eye makeup, a nude lip and statement earrings.
