Rebel Wilson's wild joke that was cut from the AACTA Awards broadcast
The comedian also poked fun at MAFS during her opening speech.
Actress and comedian Rebel Wilson had a huge job over the weekend hosting Australian film and television’s biggest night, the AACTA Awards.
The event took place on the Gold Coast for the first time in its 13-year history and was attended by some of Australia’s biggest stars, including Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett, Simon Baker and Elsa Pataky.
During her opening speech, Rebel poked fun at Queensland and joked that the AACTAs would be the only award ceremony serving “boxed wine”.
“It'll also be the only one where people will get munted and chuck a spew in the dunny. I love Queensland… It's like if Jetstar was a state,” she said.
“All the best Married At First Sight participants are from Queensland.”

While most of Rebel’s jokes were met with enormous laughter and applause from the audience, there was one comment that was reportedly cut from Channel 10’s broadcast.
According to news.com.au, the Pitch Perfect star was “met with groans in the room” after making a joke about one of the most nominated films, Talk To Me.
“Why is Australia so good at making horror? Is it because everyone had that aunt who’s had half a nose chopped off because of skin cancer?” she remarked.
'So funny'
Rebel took to Instagram on Sunday morning to share a gallery of snaps from the event, including a photo with her partner Ramona Agruma.
“Amazing night last night hosting the Australian Academy Awards!” she wrote. “Congrats to all the nominees and winners, such quality TV shows and films coming out of Australia!”
Fans also shared comments on social media commending Rebel’s hosting gig, with one person writing: “You did a stellar job”.
“Rebel was a great host!” another added, while a third shared, “She was so funny! Perfect for it”.
“Loved watching the AACTA awards with you hosting. Great laughs,” someone else remarked.
