Rebel Wilson’s bold Oscars move praised: ‘Hell yes’

The Aussie star made a 'powerful statement' about 'sustainability' with her decision.

Aussie star Rebel Wilson has been praised for her bold fashion statement after choosing to re-wear her 2020 Oscars gown for Sunday night’s Vanity Fair Oscars party. The star, 43, stunned in her gold Jason Wu off-the-shoulder dress for the second time as she arrived with her fiancée Ramona Agruma.

The draped gown was made from shimmering fabric that cinched in at her waist and fell to the floor. She kept the attention on the dress by wearing no jewellery around her neck.

The Pitch Perfect star had her hair pulled back slightly, with a side fringe framing her face. In a possible nod to her same-sex relationship, Rebel also carried a Kurt Geiger rainbow clutch that stood out against her gold look. Ramona, 37, opted for a sheer floral blouse loosely tucked into a black maxi skirt.

Rebel and Ramona also locked lips in front of the cameras, looking loved-up.

On Instagram, Rebel shared a boomerang of the loved-up pair walking hand in hand before the event.

“Oscars 2023. Sustainably re-wearing my Jason Wu dress from the Oscars 2020,” the Senior Year star wrote in the caption.

Her celebrity pals shared their love, with The Bachelor’s Brittany Hockley and pop star Nicole Scherzinger commenting fire emojis.

“STUNNING,” wrote Rebel’s Senior Year co-star Joshua Colley, while ET host Carly Steel said she was “gorgeous”.

“Absolutely fantastic,” added singer Orfeh Or.

The Jojo Rabbit star was also labelled a “sustainable queen” for recycling a previous look, an rare move in Hollywood circles.
