Rebel Wilson announces engagement to Ramona Agruma: 'Magical surprise'

Rebel Wilson has taken to Instagram to reveal that she and her girlfriend Ramona Agruma are getting married after sharing sweet photos from her surprise proposal at Disneyland. The Aussie actress, 42, who recently welcomed her first baby Royce in November last year, first revealed she and Ramona were dating last June.

"We said YES!" Rebel wrote alongside photos of the proposal. "Thank you @tiffanyandco for the stunning ring and to Bob Iger and the incredible team at Disneyland @disneyweddings for pulling off this magical surprise!"

The pair is seen wearing matching pink and white striped jumpers with a love heart on them as they share a kiss while showing off the ring. In another shot, both women are on one knee as Rebel holds the ring box outside the Disneyland castle with flower petals showering down on them.

Friends and fans shared their congratulations, with Rebel's Pitch Perfect co-star Brittany Snow writing, "Rebs!!!! Magical, congrats you two!"

"Congrats sweeties," Aussie singer G Flip added.

"HEART IS BURSTING!! Congratulations," Rebel's Senior Year co-star Jade Bender wrote.

"Love you girls! So happy for you two!" Paris Hilton wrote, adding, "Such a magical way to get engaged. Congrats!"

"OMG! Congrats!!! Two of the most beautiful Disney princesses!" one fan added.

While Rebel announced she was dating Ramona in June last year, the pair are believed to have been seeing each other since January of the same year.

"I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess," the actress shared on Instagram to announce the relationship.

Speaking with Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne on the Life Uncut podcast last week, Rebel shared that her family has been supportive of the relationship, however Ramona's family "hasn't been as accepting".

"Ramona's family hasn't been as accepting, and so in many respects, it has been a lot harder on her to have to make the news public," Rebel shared. "With her, she's not in the public eye, it's much harder on her. It's so sad to see what happened with her family over it. Hopefully, people will change their attitude about things."

The star added that she felt "hurried" to make the announcement as the Sydney Morning Herald's Andrew Hornery had reached out to her team, revealing he planned on outing the relationship.

"There were a couple of hurried conversations that I would have liked to have just taken my time with," she said, sharing her mum had to drive through the night to tell her grandparents in person so they wouldn't find out online. "I've had instances with the Australian press being really mean towards me... It was just another thing in that line of nasty things that they've done over the years."
